Hey ya’ll! It is finally Friday and for those of us up on the northern east coast we have been as far away from sunny Florida as possible. So much snow this week, Elsa has been all around and she might be coming again sometime soon!
Needless to say my mind has been focused on my Disney trip this coming may and I’ve been thinking about how I am going to utilize my precious Fast Passes on my birthday! With so many options and limitations on Fast Passes I feel its important to weigh the pros and cons on when, how and where to use those fast passes!

5. Toy Story Mania
Knowing that Toy Story land is opening up soon this current fan favorite at Disney’s Hollywood studios is destined to get a major increase in riders during the summer months. Now I may not be able to get a Fast Pass for my birthday due to reconstruction of the lines, but once Toy Story Land opens I’ll be sure to make this one a priority on those Hollywood Studios days.
4. Frozen Even After or Test Track
Now heres the thing, if you are going on Test track and are ok with going as a single rider, then I would recommend going with Frozen Ever After as your big fast pass. If you have a big party and are looking to all get that awesome picture of your all in the car, definitely get the Fast Pass for Test Track. Knowing that Frozen Ever After is not one of the greatest additions to the World Showcase in Epcot you gotta try it at least once and don’t waist your time waiting in that 90+ min line doing so.

3. Peter Pan’s Flight
Now, this is one that is much overlooked. Knowing that the lines are crazy long almost all the time for this one it is defiantly worth that fast pass. Things like Space Mountain, Splash Mountain…any Mountain really moves quickly. Peter Pan unfortunately does not. So if you are in the mood for that nostalgic Disney Magic, then def get yourself a fast pass for this one if you are ending or starting your day in the Magic Kingdom.
2. Seven Dwarfs Mine Train
Heigh Ho, Heigh Ho its off to the Magic Kingdom we go!! This new ride is fantastic, that being said I don’t believe it to be 90 mins worth of waiting for fantastic. It is definitely worth a try if you can get a fast pass and if you can’t, then getting to the park right when it opens is a very clutch move. All you have to do is B-Line it right for the ride and maybe you’ll have a 25-45 min wait depending of the amount of people waiting outside and what time you et there!
1.Flight of Passage
Here we go, the grand daddy of all Fast Passers! FLIGHT OF PASSAGE. I don’t wanna say you can’t get on this ride without a fast pass. It’s possible, however you have to wake up and get to the park an hour (at least) before it opens. Position yourself on the far right of the entrance to Pandora: World of Avatar. Keep your feet quick, don’t be a jerk, but keep an eye out for opportunities to get yourself to that line as quickly as possible. The longest I’ve had to wait when arriving that early to the park was 45 min to an hour. Let it be known that as a pass holder (Gold) it is very very difficult to get yourself a fast pass for this ride. Also know that when you are thinking about what day to go, PASSHOLDERS: watch out for magic hours, by the time you get into the park this ride could easily have a 3 hour wait. DISNEY RESORT GUESTS: USE THOSE MAGIC HOURS! If you have the opportunity to get there even earlier take it!
Long story short, get on flight of passage, then using the fast passes you were able to get for the Na’vi River Journey, jump on that. Stop at the Satu’li Canteen for a quick bite then head over to the Kilimanjaro Safari, you know that safari you were able to get a fast pass for because you didn’t have to waste one on flight of passage. With your third fast pass, you can get on Dinosaur! Then on your way out stop at “It’s Tough to be a Bug” and continue your journey with that one additional fast pass! ❤
Needless to say there are plenty of honorable mentions:
- Character Meet and Greets (Mickey Mouse)
- Navi River Journey
- Tower of Terror
- Rockin’ Roller Coaster
Please take my suggestions with a grain of salt, this works for me and my family! Every family is different so therefore so are your Fast Pass needs. I hope this helped with anyone planning a trip to Disney sometimes soon!
